Located in San Marcos, Liz Bolton Stables offers top-notch saddleseat riding lessons and instruction to both the serious show ring competitor as well as the recreational rider. High quality show and lesson horses are always available for all riding levels and interests. Our highly-trained staffs’ main priority is ensuring a positive riding experience for all in a fun, friendly environment. Meet the Team

Liz Bolton
Liz has been riding since the age of two, and operating Liz Bolton Stables since 1993. She’s been a member of USEF, ASHA and UPHA for 28 years. Her riding accomplishments include many championships culminating in a World Championship Title at 18. As a trainer, Liz has a strong reputation for developing and selling top quality show horses. As a teacher, her positive energy, humor, and kindness make learning fun for both the children and adults, and have created a very loyal customer base, not to mention many blue ribbon rides.

Theo Robinson
Theo started his formal training and riding lessons at Liz Bolton Stables at the age of 10. His love for the American Saddlebred grew from there, and he decided early on that becoming a trainer would be his life’s ambition. He has made that dream a reality and has been training and teaching for the past 7 years, and has been a member of USEF, UPHA and ASHA for the past 13 years. His passion and enthusiasm come across in everything he does, from teaching first time riders to experienced show teams, as well as training and working with the horses.

Julie Robinson
Julie started her riding career at age 4 riding hunt seat. At 8 she switched to riding Saddlebreds and has never looked back. Over the years Julie has benefitted by riding with many top-notch instructors and trainers, but her biggest influence came from 10 years under the tutelage of Bill Tomin at Rockridge Farm. During this time, Julie was given the opportunity to ride many great horses including WCC CH The Full Monty, WCC CH She’s My Desire, RWC Wee Pee’s Storm and WC CH Forever Aptor to name a few. Her riding accomplishments and honors are too numerous to list, and include top ribbons at The World Championship Horse Show and the American Royal National Horse show. Julie’s talent, positive energy and experience make her a wonderful addition to the team at LBS and a favorite with her students.

Anne Speck
Anne needs no introduction. She has too many accolades to list, including the UPHA Hall of Fame. Running her own successful barn Rancho Del Mar for several years, Anne has guided numerous riders to many national and world championship titles in the Morgan, Arabian, and Saddlebred industries. Several of those riders have even gone on to become accomplished trainers.

Jeanette Maner
Jeanette is the head of our riding academy. She has an enthusiastic personality and vivacious smile that keeps learning fun. She has worked for several top trainers across the country, gaining valuable knowledge of riding, training, and Instructing. She earned her degree in agriculture and also has a minor in early childhood education.
